Shopzilla is a shopping listing service that offers over 25 million products and 55,000 sites. Through Shopzilla, shoppers search for an item and are then provided with results that include all the information a customer needs to compare goods. These results also connect the shopper directly to the seller's online store, where they can then purchase the item.

It's easy to sign up and set up a feed that provides Shopzilla with your product information directly from your website. There are no sign-up or listing fees. Only a minimum pre-payment deposit to your account is needed to get started. The amount of the pre-payment varies upon the payment option you choose while setting up your account. When someone clicks on your listing and visits your website, the fee you decide on during set up is deducted from your account.

Creating a Shopzilla Account

To create an account with Shopzilla and get a credit worth up to $50, please click here. Please note that you will have to make a minimum deposit that will be credited to your account.

 

Sending Product Information to Shopzilla

Through your website, you have to decide what items you want to list on Shopzilla and in what category they should be placed. To set up the Shopzilla integration:

  1. Click 'Edit Store' -> 'Marketplace' -> 'Shopzilla'.
  2. Enter the Shopzilla account information you set up previously. If you want Shopzilla customers to complete a survey following an order, check mark the box beside 'Add an invitation to buyers'.

  1. Click the 'Save Shopzilla User Info' button.
  2. You now have to enter the ID number of the category you want your products listed in. Click the 'Shopzilla Category List' link to view a list of the Shopzilla category numbers.

This list will open in another window.

  1. Once you've found the category ID number you need, enter it in the box beside 'Map to Category'.

  1. Check the box to the right of the items you want to list. If you want to select all the items, check mark the box beside 'Select Entire Catalog'. Click the 'Save' button when you've finished choosing your products.
  2. You'll now see a confirmation message that your product listings have been sent to Shopzilla. Click 'Click to continue'.
  3. You'll see that the products you selected now have the category number next to the check box on the right.

You now have to go to your Shopzilla account and set up your bid pricing.

 

Setting Listing Bid Pricing

Fees are based on how much you are willing to pay per click, which means the amount you pay each time a shopper clicks on your item and visits your website. However, Shopzilla does set minimum bids per category. Minimum bids for your cost-per-click (CPC) amount range from $.10 to $1.00 depending on subcategory. Your CPC amount is one of many key factors used to determine how high your products rank on their listings.

To set your CPC bid pricing, you must do so by logging in to your account at http://merchant.shopzilla.com and follow Shopzilla's instructions.

Please note that as Shopzilla is a third-party program, we are unable to provide instructions for setting up their end of the integration.

 

Removing Products From Shopzilla

Note that when your inventory is set to zero, your products will automatically be removed from listing on Shopzilla. If you do not wish to set your inventory to zero:

  1. Click 'Edit Store' -> 'Marketplace' -> 'Shopzilla'.
  2. Check mark the items you want to remove from listings and make sure that no category number is listed in the box beside 'Map to Category'. Then, click 'Save'.

Shopzilla will update their listings to exclude the products within 36-48 hours. Products may also be removed by Shopzilla if you have run out of money in your Shopzilla account.

Log into your Shopzilla Account and click on 'Contact Us'. Choose issue type 'Account & Billing' and Sub Issue type 'Canceling Account' to submit your request to cancel your account.

How long do my products show? Why have they disappeared from Shopzilla's listings?

There are some of the common reasons why your products might not show on Shopzilla:

  Problem Solution
1. On the product editing page, there's a check beside 'Check to make this item invisible (i.e. only editors can see this item)' or 'Check to make this item unavailable (i.e. item can be viewed but not purchased)'.

Uncheck the box beside either of these options.

2. Inventory management is turned on and the amount for the product is listed as zero. Correct the item inventory amount.
3. You have removed the Shopzilla category number from the product. Follow the directions above to insert the category number.
4. You have run out of money in your Shopzilla account. Add money to your account.
