What is a Photo Album Page?

This feature allows you to add a photo album to your site. Pictures are automatically changed into thumbnail form 5 across and then down. When a thumbnail is clicked on, the picture is seen in its larger, original size. A title and description can be added for each image.

Note: If you are selling products that you would like to display, you may want to use the Catalog page type. Learn more about the Catalog.

1. Adding a Photo Album Page

  1. Under the 'Edit Site' tab, click 'Add Page'.
  2. Click 'Photo Album'.

  1. Name your new page. This name is what will be shown in your navigation menu.
  2. Enter a 'Page URL'. This creates the individual webpage address for that page. TIP: Use keywords or words that reflect the content that will be on that page.

By default, the 'Check to show this page in your navigation menu' box is checked. If you do not want the page to show in your menu, uncheck the box.

  1. Click 'Add Page'.

You'll then be on the editing page.

 

2. Editing Your Page

Any time you want to make changes to your page:

  1. Click the 'Edit Site' tab.
  2. Click 'Edit' beside the page you want to edit.

Or, if viewing the page you want to edit, click 'Edit Page' on the toolbar.

You'll then be on the 'Header & Footer' section of the editing page.

Text that you put in the Title and Subtitle fields will be displayed at the top of your page, with the Title text also being automatically used as your Title Tag. For more information about Tags, please read Page Title, Meta & Head Tags.

The Header and Footer appear above and below your images once they're added. To edit the header and footer, add and make changes to text using the text editor and click 'Save Changes' when finished.

 

3. Adding Images

  1. Within the editing page, click 'Add Photos' on the left.
  2. To upload each picture, click on the square that says 'Click to Change'.

  1. The Image Libary opens. The image window opens. To upload your own pictures, click 'Add Images', then click 'Browse...' to get pictures from your computer. Locate and open your image file, then select the folder you want the photo to upload to, then click 'Add Image to Library'.

A thumbnail of your image appears. Click on the image you want to display on your page. The image window closes.

  1. Add a title and description if you like for your image(s), then click 'Save Changes'.

 

4. Editing Images, Title and Description

  1. Within the editing page, click 'Manage Photos' on the left.
  2. Click 'Edit' below the image you want to edit.

  1. Make and Save your changes.

 

5. Deleting Images

  1. Within the editing page, click 'Manage Photos' on the left.
  2. Check the box under the image(s) you want to delete, then click 'Delete Selected'. Confirm the deletion.

 

6. Changing the Order of Images

  1. Within the editing page, click 'Manage Photos' on the left.
  2. Click and drag your photos to where you'd like them. Click 'Save' when finished .
 

7. Creating a Page with Links to Several Photo Albums

To create a page that links to several Photo Albums, you can use the Links page type, then add internal links. Learn more about the Links page.

 

8. Editing Your Title Tag, Meta Tag and Header Info

To help with search engine ranking you can customize your title, description, and keyword tags for individual pages. Advanced users can also place code between the <head> tags. This feature is available through the editing page under 'Internet Marketing'. To learn more, please read Page Title, Meta & Head Tags.
